How to Get Images from Apple Photos (iPhoto) into Lightroom Classic
I have a favorite method to import images from Apple Photos into Lightroom Classic. It’s a drag and drop process that requires just a little bit of simple preparation. When I started writing it down, the process looked complicated, but it’s not. So, hopefully, my video makes this process easy to understand. The process of overlapping the iPhoto (AKA Apple Photos) library window over an open Lightroom Classic window for a drag and drop is the trick. Yeah, I know, it sounds hard, but if you watch this video, it’s actually quite easy. To see all the details of this process, I recommend clicking watching in full screen. The full screen button for that appears at the bottom, lower right side of the video after it starts playing. ![]()
When I do this all I get are the jpeg versions of the images even though they were shot in RAW format. Is there a trick to the importing the RAW images into LrC?
